Current experimental activities include enhancement of hydrogen storage properties of magnesium based hydrides induced by ion beams and evaluation of appropriate mechanism of hydrogen sorption.

Synthesis and modification of hydrogen storage materials by mechanical alloying, milling and ion irradiation (alkali and earthalkali hydrides, amides and imides, borohydrides, litium aluminum hydride, transition metals doped systems)

Microstructural characterisation XRD, Particle size analysis by laser scattering, Raman and IC spectroscopy, Neutron Scattering, SEM and EDS.

Thermodynamics and kinetics: TPD, DSC, non isothermal approach to kinetics evaluation of materials.
